Eligibility Criteria


B.E. First Year

Eligibility of Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State Candidate:

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject and Secured minimum 50% (45% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) marks in the above subjects taken together at MT-CET 2016.


Eligibility Criteria for All India (Paper-I of JEE Main 2016 qualified) Candidates:

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics AND secured minimum 50% marks (minimum 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together AND Candidate should have a valid JEE Main 2016 Score (i.e. total score should be positive) for the year 2016-2017.

Note: Maharashtra Candidates having valid JEE Main 2016 score and appearing for MTCET 2016 will be required to submit single Application and Option form for the CAP. Such candidates will be given single allotment through CAP as per inter-se-merit.

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign National/Foreign Student/ PIO/Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries/ Children of NRI
Candidate should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
• The eligibility of the candidates passing the HSC (Std. XII) equivalent examination from a school/college/Examination Board situated outside India
shall be further decided by the University Authorities to which the candidate is admitted. Hence such candidates are advised to get their eligibility verified
by the respective University Authorities before seeking admission to the Engineering courses in the State of Maharashtra.
• The candidate belonging to this type is not required to appear for the MT-CET 2016/ JEE Main 2016.

Eligibility criteria for GoI Nominees:
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks (minimum 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
• The candidate belonging to this type is required to appear for the MT-CET 2016/ JEE Main 2016.

Eligibility criteria for J & K Migrant candidates:
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.

Direct Second Year B.E. (Diploma Holder)

For Diploma Holders in Engineering/Technology awarded by Maharashtra Govt. or its equivalent having First Division and above can
be admitted directly to Third Semester B.E. However, Diploma Holders in Engineering or Technology with Second Division marks can be
admitted directly to B.E. 1st year.

Architecture Course

In order to secure admission through MASA-CAP to first year of Five year Degree course in Architecture, the candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria;
Passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject and secured minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for backward class candidates from Maharashtra State only) in the HSC (Std XII) examination.
OR
Passed Diploma in under 10+3 diploma (any stream) Examination recognized by central/ state government or its equivalent examination and secured minimum 50% aggregate marks. (45% for backward class candidates)
AND
Hold valid score at National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture for the academic year 2016-2017 (with minimum 40% valid score.)

POST GRADUATE COURSE (M.Tech.)

The candidate should be an Indian National possessing Bachelors Degree or its equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology from an AICTE/MHRD approved institution as specified by the concerned University, for which admission is being sought to a particular post-graduate course/ specialization, with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for candidates from backward classes categories & persons with disability, belonging to the State of Maharashtra only).
The candidates appearing for their final year B.E./B.Tech. exam during summer, 2016 also can apply.
The candidates should have valid GATE or secured non zero score in the PGET-CET 2016 exam conducted by the DTE, Government of Maharashtra in respective qualifying branch.
